Decision Tournament
Can't just pick one? Run your options through a single-elimination bracket instead — head-to-head matchups until one champion remains.

How the Decision Tournament works
Unlike a flat random pick, a tournament bracket makes the decision feel earned rather than arbitrary — options are randomly paired each round, one advances from each matchup, and odd numbers get a random bye rather than sitting out unfairly. This is the same single-elimination format used in sports brackets and competitive tournaments, just applied to picking dinner or a movie.
How to use it
Frequently asked questions
How are byes decided when there's an odd number of options?
One option is picked at random to automatically advance that round without a matchup — over multiple runs, byes are just as random as any matchup result.
Is the eventual winner more 'deserving' than a flat random pick?
Statistically, every option still has an equal chance of winning the whole tournament, just like a flat random pick — the bracket format doesn't favor any option, it just makes the process more engaging to watch.
Can I use this for a large list?
Yes, any number of options works — larger lists just produce more rounds before reaching a champion.
