Privacy Policy

The short version
Almost every tool on Xrandom runs entirely in your browser. When you shuffle a list, generate a password, or roll a die, that data is never sent to our servers — it's calculated on your device and shown to you directly. We don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the tools.
This policy explains the few places where data does get collected — mainly through cookies used for basic site function, and, where enabled, through advertising and analytics services provided by Google.
Information we collect
- Tool input (names, lists, numbers you type in): processed locally in your browser only. Not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Local storage: a small preference flag (such as your cookie consent choice) may be stored in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Usage and advertising data: if enabled, third-party services described below may collect standard technical data such as your approximate location (from IP address), browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent, via cookies or similar technologies.
Cookies and advertising
Xrandom may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. These services may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve ads (including personalized ads, where permitted) and measure their performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

- You can decline non-essential cookies entirely using the cookie banner shown on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings at any time.

Children's privacy
Xrandom is a general-audience site and is not directed specifically at children. Some tools (for example, in the Kids & Family category) may be useful for families, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Third-party links
Some pages may link to third-party websites or services (for example, Google's own testing documentation, or general reference sites). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of external sites — please review their own policies before providing any information.
Data security
Because the vast majority of Xrandom's functionality runs client-side and doesn't touch a server, there is very little personal data for us to secure in the first place. Any data handled by third-party services described above is subject to that provider's own security practices.
Your choices
You can use most of Xrandom's browser settings to block or delete cookies, use browser extensions to block ads or trackers, and decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner. Blocking cookies won't affect your ability to use the actual generator tools, since they don't depend on cookies to function.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
