How the Lottery Number Generator works

This is a general-purpose lottery quick-pick generator with built-in presets for popular real-world lotteries — Powerball and Mega Millions nationally, five major US state lotteries (California SuperLotto Plus, Texas Two Step, Lotto Texas, Florida Lotto, and New York Lotto), EuroMillions and Eurojackpot (Europe), the UK National Lottery, Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max (Canada), Powerball and Saturday Lotto (Australia), and SuperEnalotto (Italy) — each configured to match that game's official current number range and ball count. Choosing Custom lets you enter any range and ball count for a 6/49-style draw, a private office sweepstake, or any other format.

One nuance worth knowing: New York Lotto's real bonus ball is drawn from the remaining numbers in the same 59-number pool rather than a separate range, and feeds a secondary prize tier rather than the jackpot. Xrandom's preset models the six main numbers exactly as played; if you specifically need that secondary bonus-ball mechanic, treat it as a separate draw from your remaining unmatched numbers after generating your six.

Main numbers are drawn without replacement — no duplicates — and sorted in ascending order to match how lottery boards traditionally present results. Bonus numbers (like Powerball's red ball or EuroMillions' two Lucky Stars) are drawn independently from their own separate range, since that's how these games actually work.

How to use it

1
Match your game's formatPick a popular lottery from the dropdown — Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions and more — and the number range, ball count, and bonus ball fill in automatically. Or choose Custom to set your own.
2
Add a bonus ball (optional)If your game has a separate bonus/power ball range, enter its maximum; set it to 0 to skip. Games with two bonus numbers (like EuroMillions' Lucky Stars) automatically draw two.
3
Choose how many linesGenerate a single line, or up to 20 lines at once — like buying a multi-line ticket.
4
Generate your quick-pickXrandom draws unique main numbers sorted low-to-high per line, plus any bonus numbers marked with a star.

Frequently asked questions

Does this guarantee a win?

No random number generator can influence real lottery draws or improve odds; this tool simply picks numbers with the same fairness as an official quick-pick machine.

Are the preset lottery formats accurate?

Yes, each preset matches that lottery's official current number range and ball count as of when this tool was last updated — lottery formats do occasionally change, so double-check against your lottery's official site if you're relying on the exact current rules.

Can the bonus ball match a main number?

Yes, real lotteries usually allow this too since the bonus ball is drawn from an independent pool — set the bonus maximum to 0 if your game excludes overlaps.

Can I generate multiple lines at once?

Yes — set 'How many lines' to generate up to 20 independent lines in one click, each drawn separately so no two lines are forced to differ or match.

My lottery isn't in the list — what do I do?

Choose Custom and enter your game's specific number range, ball count, and bonus ball range manually — the generator logic works identically.
